Anyone know of this registration number?

Anyone know the registration number G3 NCO, it's supposed to be a Range Rover Sport HSE TDV6 on a 56 plate, however when I first spoke to the bloke on the phone, he said it was a 57 plate with the reg no. YN57 HWG. I'm obviously very iffy about the car now, all the details he gave me for YN57 HWG checked out for a 2007 RRS, albeit an import from Holland in 2009.

Now after calling him he's given me the reg no. G3 NCO, the car is cheap, but he's gettin rid to get a BMW X6 apparently, sounds like a genuine person, but I don't feel like travelling to an unknown area to get a car which could be totally dodgy. I know people say, and I'm in the trade myself, walk away if it feels too good to be true, which it does, but I'm genuinely interested in the car at the price he's given me.

Just a quick ask about on here really, anyone know anything about Reg No. G3 NCO?

Thanks, Del Boy Thumbs Up

The DVLA info for both registrations are as follows:-

Date of First Registration 27 12 2006
Year of Manufacture 2006
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2720cc
CO2 Emissions 265g/Km
Fuel Type HEAVY OIL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLACK
Vehicle Type Approval M1

-------------------------------------
The vehicle details for YN57 HWG are:
Date of Liability 01 09 2012
Date of First Registration 01 09 2007
Year of Manufacture 2007
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2720cc
CO2 Emissions 265g/Km
Fuel Type HEAVY OIL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due

So, Looking at the data above would suggest that these are two different cars! So If he is claiming they were the same car I'd be asking some questions or walking away! Perhaps even making a call to the local constabulary Whistle 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Only way to tell would be to get the VIN number from him (on the dash below the windscreen, or a panel under the bonnet) and do a proper HPi check to see what reg it matches up to and then check it to the V5 too! If you Land Rover with that VIN they should also be able to confirm the reg number if left them with (so will either be YN57 or something else)! - Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE G4 Challenge vehicle (FOR SALE)

Land Rover confirmed that the registration number: YN57 HWG matched with the VIN he gave me, however I found that and was all set to go and get it until yesterday, when he gave me the Reg No. G3 NCO. Drives: 2007 '57' BMW 730Ld SE Auto E66.
2011 '60' BMW 520d SE Auto F10.

On the hunt for a RRS.

One car should never 'accidentaly' be another.......... especially if you are a private seller.

My advice would be to keep looking.

Could be a trader pretending to be a private seller and using an old advert and or picture etc.....

I wouldn't be put off, id just do a few extra checks to put my concerns to rest, end of the day if the vin and reg match the docs i don't see the problem.

Couldn't it be that the private plate G3 NCO was on an 06-reg car, then fitted to the 57-reg car (YN57) and has since been removed to sell? Not that unusual...think you need to speak to the seller and ask for an explanation. - Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE G4 Challenge vehicle (FOR SALE)
