Karcher pressure washers

It is the end of the season and Karcher products have been on sale recently. For example, Karcher k5.700 sounds like a very impressive pressure washer and it was available on sale at B&Q. But they are all sold out, now I am surfing the web to find the best deal. Some are still around.

Anyone has comments suggestions on Karcher pressure washers? My pressure washer was £80 worth and I guess it did an okay job. But I accidentally stepped on the handgun as it was lying on the ground and the kerb and brooke it in two... Censored Vadim A.

I've never really been a fan of Karcher washers, they just seem too tempremental. Don't get me wrong, the top end Karchers are very good, but their domestic machines seem to use a lot cheaper parts. I had one for a while and there was always something going wrong with it.

I bought a Nilfisk C120 a couple of years back and its been great, Screwfix have some great deals on them. If money's no object, get a Kranzle, they are superb Cool ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Karchers often have plastic pumps which is a weak point in there cheaper models, if your looking at them try get one which has the metal pump, Nilfisk use metal pumps in there (not sure on low end models)

Its not just the psi to look at too, you want to look at the flow rate of the water, low rate could be classed as washing your car with a cup of water at 120 psi, but a higher flow rate can still generate the 120psi but the equivalent of throwing a bucket of water at the car Thumbs Up

I have the Nilfisk E140

I only went that direction due to the amount of block paving i have, but i don't use it on it as when i did it lifted the blocks Shocked so i'm getting someone in to do it as i have a path that needs sorting out as the gaps are too big too

karcheroutlet often seem to have some good offers. However a word of caution - this time last year I ordered a pressure washer from them. On FOUR occasions the washer arrived in a damaged state due to poor packaging and handling. They appeared indifferent to the problems and seemed happy to keep collecting the damaged Iunits and sending out replacements...... I eventually complained direct to Karcher who sent me a brand new unit of a higher spec so in the end it worked out well!!

+1 for Nilfisk. I have the P150.

Had several Karchers and they never seemed to last, swapped to the Nilfisk and wouldn't go back TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

I am now divided between Nilfisk e140 and Karcher k5.700, a 2 and 3 years warranty is offered respectively... I think that's a susbstational difference. However, E140 water flow is higher, 500l/h, whereas Karcher's is 460l/h. Also, i checked on detailing world, and it's seems that people tend to have more Nilfisk washers than Karchers. So it looks like Nilfisk is a bit more popular. Vadim A.
