I've never really been a fan of Karcher washers, they just seem too tempremental. Don't get me wrong, the top end Karchers are very good, but their domestic machines seem to use a lot cheaper parts. I had one for a while and there was always something going wrong with it.

Karchers often have plastic pumps which is a weak point in there cheaper models, if your looking at them try get one which has the metal pump, Nilfisk use metal pumps in there (not sure on low end models)

I only went that direction due to the amount of block paving i have, but i don't use it on it as when i did it lifted the blocks so i'm getting someone in to do it as i have a path that needs sorting out as the gaps are too big too |

karcheroutlet often seem to have some good offers. However a word of caution - this time last year I ordered a pressure washer from them. On FOUR occasions the washer arrived in a damaged state due to poor packaging and handling. They appeared indifferent to the problems and seemed happy to keep collecting the damaged Iunits and sending out replacements...... I eventually complained direct to Karcher who sent me a brand new unit of a higher spec so in the end it worked out well!! |

I am now divided between Nilfisk e140 and Karcher k5.700, a 2 and 3 years warranty is offered respectively... I think that's a susbstational difference. However, E140 water flow is higher, 500l/h, whereas Karcher's is 460l/h. Also, i checked on detailing world, and it's seems that people tend to have more Nilfisk washers than Karchers. So it looks like Nilfisk is a bit more popular. Vadim A. |
