BUT I just can't help but think the 6 series looks a little dated now, can't put my finger on it, just my opinion. Embarassed

When you think about it the 6 series has been out since late 2004, so your right the shape is defiantly getting on ... still love them though Smile

I'm considering an RS3 for Mrs Bean.......well, that and an Evoque (two very different cars I know Laughing )

As AJP mentions if your going to spend around £45k the new 1M is defiantly one to consider, IMO better then the RS3! Clarkson was hinting it was better then an M3!!!

I have had quite a few cars... the M5/M6 engine is not for the UK!!! The V10 engine is amazing at 8000 Revs but come on that is just a bit much.... the torque is also not the best as you again hit it higher in the revs so it struggles in the city.....

Really appreciate the advice, but as a bit of an RX8 fan I dont think 384 lbs/ft will be a problem for me Thumbs Up

I would be looking at the used S5 (09 plates) so I'll strike that one from the list.

My mate has the new Audi S5... now that is a great engine! puts the power down amazingly! the new 1M also looks the dogs boll****!

If you want luxury then an 08/09 Audi S8 is great value for money!

Do not touch the Audi S5! The engine is nothing special and will be pi55*d over by most other V8's.. Wink if your buying an S5 secondhand you will find the spec pretty bad... this is because most younger youths leased these originally so you will be lucky to get Sat Nav! Laughing

I had a 2010 S5 cabriolet and it was amazing but now I have an 11 plate RS5 for weekend fun but I'm considering a change in spring 2012 RRS Autobiography, Fuji White all the toys
2011 Audi RS5

Something fun for the weekends but a bit safer and can be just as noisy as the M6, how about an RS6 or RS4?
Save your money and get a Clio V6 255 for some serious fun or does it have to be brand or near new? FFRR Owner, SSRR engine destroyer!(*2) & Creator of SSRR Smile

Thanks for the suggestion however ... I've actually already had a Clio V6 and loved it, but it really does look like you've just mugged a 17 year old

Well I'll not be getting anything until I've sold the Rangie ... and apparently the market is slow at the moment so I may end up keeping it, which is no problem but I did fancy a change.

If I was looking to spend about £45k, I would be looking at something like this:

 Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)
