Beware the slight lag at a junction/roundabout between putting your foot down & the take off - sometimes annoying but if you're used to it, its not a worry. Perfect car basically Smile

New to the RRS and after a TDV8

Excuse my ignorance but as a twin turbo does the first Turbo not feed the second Turbo eradicating lag?

As per the 35 BMW engines.

Cheers

No, it's old fashioned one turbo per bank. The new TDv6 has a sequential turbo installation though. But then it's not a v8 so needs it! Wink 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The problem isn't a turbo lag one, it's just that the gearbox defaults to 2nd gear to pull away if in D (automatic mode). If you select 1st manually then it just goes as soon as you ask. And goes well Thumbs Up

I've not yet found the TDV8 to suffer turbo lag as such. Even if it's in too high a gear it still pulls well. But then 472lbft at 2000rpm is never going to feel like its struggling! It produces a big chunk of that from low revs too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
