The problem isn't a turbo lag one, it's just that the gearbox defaults to 2nd gear to pull away if in D (automatic mode). If you select 1st manually then it just goes as soon as you ask. And goes well ![]() I've not yet found the TDV8 to suffer turbo lag as such. Even if it's in too high a gear it still pulls well. But then 472lbft at 2000rpm is never going to feel like its struggling! It produces a big chunk of that from low revs too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
