TDV6 v's TDV8 standard features comparison

Hi guys, well I feel a purchase coming on real soon. TDV8 2007- 08 is the order of the day.

But im interested to see what standard features you get on the TDV8 that you dont get on the TDV6. (other then the engine lol).

Can anyone give a quick rundown?

As an example the TDV8 gets brembos standard but the TDV6 doesnt??????

Cheers guys.

Australian models are different to UK models - eg trim and equipment levels are based on engine - the TDV6 is the base model and the Supercharged V8 then top of the range - there is no HSE or other versions they have in the UK.

This type of question is maybe better asked in the D3/RRS section of the the main Landrover Forum is Aust - www.aulro.com

A feeling of smugness is also standard with the TDV8. No other RRS can beat you for torque and sound so good doing it... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Cruise standard on both
Climate control standard on both
Auto Wipers are standard on both
Reverse sensors are standard in both
I believe Sat Nav is optional on both

Differences are most likely in the area of Xenons, folding mirrors, memory seats, wheel sizes, front parking sensor, adaptive cruise control etc but in Aust I do not think there are many differences except for engine, wheels and brakes.

Compare the list of standard inclusions listed in ads for TDV6 and TDV8 on Carsales - you will soon gain an ideas what is standard and optional for both cars.

I bought my TDV6 a year ago - in my price range were low Km 07MY TDV6s and high km 07MY TDV8s. I would have preferred a TDV8 but my priority was a low km car so that meant I ended up with a 38,000km V6. When looking I did not notice any real difference in trim and equipment levels between the two. But then it was 6 months before I realised I did not have Xenons and the mirrors did not fald.

Cheers

Thanks for the help Gary

"Compare the list of standard inclusions listed in ads for TDV6 and TDV8 on Carsales"

yep been doing that but sometimes the Standard Features sections leaves some stuff out and hopefully they fill out the "factory" and "after market" sections so you can compare

I'lk keep plugging along.

In the UK the TDV8 was equipped the same as a TDV6 HSE. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a RRS HSE in Aust. D3s have S, SE and HSE trim levels but not the RRS.

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

Early TDv8's did not have Satnav as standard in the Oz market, that came out in the later MY models. I think it may have been included from MY08 or 09 onwards, you may need to check for the Australian market. TDv6's did not get Satnav as standard until the MY10 models.
