Not sure yet, hoping it's just the bushes. I have LR extended warranty but not sure if ARB (not the bushes) is covered, waiting for stealer to call back.... |

You would know if it was fuid mate as u would notice it on the drive way and eventually it will give you a suspension error. |

A wee bit more work but local dealer is stating 5 hours and 3 for 4 wheel alignment on completion.

Arb bushes £9,and it took me 10 mins to do 1 side and 50 to do the other, just because its harder to get the spanner in.And that was on axle stands not on a ramp at a comfy working height.Have you had the spacers put in before you change the Arb bushes? |

Are you talking about an ACE fitted car or standard suspension? |

Standard,do you get a small consistant knocking(sounds as though its coming from the bulk head really)at low speed on small bumps/grids and the like, then it goes as you speed up. |

Yeah that sounds about right, big bumps don't seem to rattle it, nor does it rattle when travelling faster (above 50 ish) |

Ok sorry for late reply,we have a new puppy.Same thing on mine and they wanted £660 to replace the front wishbones, saying it was the bottom ball joints.I bought two ball joints and changed them and it didn't make the slightest bit of difference, they cost £36.I am prepared to bet anything that if you undid the arb bracket a bit and slip a 1 or 2mm washer up the back then tighten back up your knock will go.I used a C washer on each bolt cost under £1 and 10min job. |

Why would it need the 4 wheel alignment doing after just changing the arb bushes? There is nothing they should be touching that would upset the suspension geo. |

I don't know why a dealer quotes 5-6 hours nor do I profess to know more about the car than them. What I do know is you get a compression of the rubber in the ARB bush over time(hence the market for poly bushes(a harder compound). The knock that is caused by this is the ARB Arm itself hitting the bulk head as it has raised collars to prevent sideways movement,it is this collar that gives you the knock,so if you increase the clearance it gets rid of it.The collar and bulkhead were polished due to contact on mine.
