Suspension light

Just got the yellow suspension lamp with arrows plus suspension message
Thing is i have just had the nearside from suspension airbag unit replaced and the suspension recalibrated.
The nearside was going down when the engine was turned off and i could not find any airleaks.
It drives much better and this light will go out on next start up and come back on after about 4 miles.
Any ideas please
thanks broncoupe

height sensor/chaffed loom issue?

Have you got an HSE? If so look at the 4x4 info page and check all the wheels are correctly positioned in the arches RRS gone

2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I checked this on mine this morning due to having the suspension light on intermittently.

It seems to flash up red on the front 2 lines when the suspension was lowered to access height. It would intermittently flash between the passenger side and drivers side.

Does this mean that the front two height sensors need replacing?

yeah mate sounds like it, could be a broken wire given that its the two of them, common issue on the FFRR less so on the RRS so u might be lucky, sensors are only 35quid each

Get it booked into LR or a specialist they will plug it in and tell you whats up

The light on mine comes on occasionally, when it does it's usually 30 seconds after the car has been started. It hasn't come on at all today! Strange.

I got this about a month ago, took to specialist and they changed the air compressor. He said it was a common fault as the piston is so weak and thin. If it goes it can give false readings off the sensors.

Drives much better now than when I got it.

Oman 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

My car just came back from the Dealers yesterday, this lunchtime driving back to site after a short stop, flashing red suspension light and associated message.

Turned car on and off 3 times... warning light now solid red Shocked . Got to site parked car for less than 30 minutes went, restarted car lights stayed off...

I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days if it reoccurs it's back to the garage...

Update

Decided to go to stealers
Light came on on the way over, they checked said there were no faults recorded in the system.
Prior to that i had had it read 20 minutes earlier by indie with snapon scanner and his kit said air supply pressure--- problem there it had a new pump last week
anyway while stealers had it they recalibrated suspension said it was a bit low on one side, to be fare the light has not come back on in 150 miles and it rides better.

I had the yellow suspension warning light coming on within half a mile of starting off, plus " normal height only" in
message display box. Stealer said the asp is knackered.. Euro 530 + VAT + fitting. I bought a tested one on ebay with new dryer and valve. Before it arrived I took to starting off by either raising or lowering the suspension before moving off, and this always worked perfectly manually once the light was off. After a couple of days I forgot to raise/lower it and the light has never come on in the past month!1 Must have been dirty/unused sensors.... worth a try if you are getting the orange light!1

I have the new pump for sale 160 pounds Stg delivered anywhere in the UK!! Just want my pennies back..will take Paypal ( I think it allows you to take money as well as pay?

Cheers Peter

I had the fault once after playing around with the suspension after 1 week of ownership (the car had been pretty much unmoved in 2/3months at the dealer I got it from. Now seems OK, guy at Guava reckons valves can become sticky if not used, haven't had the fault since...
