Service Charges

My Sport is due for it's second year service, paid £350 for last years first service, now being quoted £658.. Shocked

Mentioned that had the Land Rover Allegiance membership and this would reduce it by £75, just so surprised at the high cost.

Can anyone tell me what they have paid for second year service recently? Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE
Loire Blue/Ivory leather Privacy Glass

Gone - RRSPORT 2010 TDV6 HSE
Stornaway/Ebony Premium leather with Lunar stitching, Heated Steering Wheel and Privacy Glass.

Gone - RRSPORT TDV6 HSE
Buckingham Blue/Ivory, Privacy Glass, Tasmods Sills, Supercharged Black Badges all round, Grille & Vents, plus RRSport Sticker & Brolly of course.

£500 or under for my second service a few months ago, i live between 2 garages and play them offf against each other - telling them that im doing just that and within 2 calls to each one I have a price im willing to pay.

Thanks for that Nathan, my second nearest garage is about 25 miles away but might give them a ring to see what price they can offer.

I do have a non-Landrover dealer nearby who could service it but not so sure about that with warranty etc.

With my Allegiance discount it brings the price down to £583 which still seems a bit much.

Mine is the 3lt diesel, was yours the same, not sure if it makes much difference anyway...... Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

Update..

Had Quote from another dealer for £441 inc vat & parts, over £200 less than my local dealer, so went back to my dealer and managed to get it down to £459 and have an Evoque for the day to test drive..so result. Smile

Just a shame they tried to rip me off after years of loyalty buying and servicing 4 landrovers from them.. Mad Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

Did think the rules had changed slightly on this in as much as you can have your car serviced anywhere and the warranty will remain valid.

Remember reading it somewhere....

Yes I think you are right, I have heard that too, just wasn't sure about quality and parts when I go to exchange for a new one at some point.. didn't want to put it to the test really.. Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

As long as it's a vat registered garage and they use approved parts your warranty is valid. I use a local land rover specialist and save a small fortune. I'm reluctant to pay a main stealer over £100 pound an hour for an apprentice to do an oil change.

But a Land Rover specialist can't download all the new updates from Land Rover computers. Every main dealer when they service your car plug it into main frame and download all new updates!

When mines due its first service i am going to my local garage to get it done ,will tell them to get genuine LR oil filter and the right oil and i am happy!
Have put cars in to the main dealers before and they have not even changed the oil. (was not a LR). SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

I'm sure these can be picked up whilst in for warranty work, which is probably more frequently than an anual service Big Cry

I had a Toyota a few years back and was charged 150 quid for a main dealer minor service and the useless idiots forgot to put the oil filler cap back on, made a right mess of the engine bay.

You'll find that independents can do this and a lot more that dealers can't. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate
