It is one of the first RRS built & hence buyers are likely to be first time RRS buyers & probably on a tighter budget but even so first impressions will be important so if I were you I would do the following:

Stephen don't take it to a main dealer for the fixes, ask around the Land Rover community and find out if there are any local LR specialists in your area, their labour rates are 1/3 to 1/4 of a main dealers and often you can get the parts at the same discounted price that the indie gets them at. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I might well get the under bumper scrape done as I can get it done reasonably locally not through landrover and hopefully wont cost much.

I would get the lighter socket done before the scrape. Also if your alloys are 22", they may well have a bit of value in them. I would consider putting on a standard set that you could pick up off ebay and get your 22's refurbed and flog them seperately. This could also help you to avoid having to replace the tyres as it sounds like you will have to replace them to stay legal yourself if the car takes any length of time to sell.

I have just joined RRS.co.uk as I am in the market for either a Discovery or an RRS. I need the car to occasionally drive to clients and to tow my rally car and accomodate various spares. I tried to send Stephen a PM as I may be interested in the car myself, but as I am a newbie the site won't allow me to PM yet. I guess I can accept a PM, so please feel free to get in touch. Thanks. |
