ACC

I'm a new boy on the forum and expect to be using it many times as I help my son (his car) and the body shop rebuild it after a bad front shunt. Not an insurance job.

The first problem is the ACC. Its shot, have found a second hand replacement but we have wires hanging out with no plug.

Questions:

Can I get hold of a full wiring diagram to help with the rebuild in general and the ACC plug problem.

Any CD/DVD disk based catalogued systems showing all car parts wiring etc? I had a very good BMW disk that was hacked from the dealer system and generally sold on the net. Helped tremendously when working on my old 740.

Anybody know if the car will run without the ACC, I was told it required it but find it hard to believe as what happens if it goes wrong?

Looking forward to helping the boy sort this car out and driving it one day.

It's the HSE V8, things have moved on today, found the cd manual. I was after covering this spec and many otters. Found a 2nd hand ACC, struggling to find a plug to remake the loom, think I'll start looking for Jag plug and stub cable tomorrow.

Hopefully with more error codes cleared we can get the suspension working and see what else we are missing.

It was a very sad case, rear side and front crash. The jig work went very well and sourcing 2nd body panels keeps it cheap. You do need the patience for parts and a good body shop.

My front sensor doesn't work because it got drowned Sad .... my car work's fine just the cruise control doesn't work at all. I bought replacement sensor for £200 off eBay (LR wanted £1,600 ex vat, I hope including fitting!) and plan to fit it once I'm back from Dubai. The annoying thing is you have to remove the front bumper to get to the sensor...they could have designed that a bit better considering its only behind that black box bit! LR Defender 90 - gone
RRS Supercharged HST - gone
Audi S3 Sportback Black Editiion - gone
RRS SDV6 - current
