The creaking was occurring while the RRS was in park/brakes applied...I've been reading some posts that seem to suggest it isn't wise to change to access mode when in park (instead it should be done when in motion)...is there any truth to this? Was the creaking a result of me changing to access mode when in park? |

I rarely use access mode and the only time I've heard a creaking noise is when I have used it (to help aged rellies getting /out of the back seats). Most likely it's because the geometery changes with suspension movement and you've effectively locked one end of the car with the park brake. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
