Plus you'll get to know the guys at your local filling station - don't forget those extra wine gums etc. that'll end up buying. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I was in the same predicament when I was looking, the appeal of the initial saving on the S/C nearly got the better of me! I opted for the TDV8 in the end, an epic motor and just a shade slower, but should I need to shift it I wont be bent over!

I'm learning that a short blast up to cruising speed then backing off the throttle and just keeping it "on the boil" keeps me at 26.4mpg

Thats amazing If I really try, and I mean using the manual gears, I can get 24mpg round here but that is HARD! I'd rather 20mpg and just forget about it, less headache On a run though I have achieved 32mpg which shocked me |

Mine's mapped as well I found manual to be a god send on the B roads round here, I was getting around 17mpg when I first got it and was scratching my head as to why I realised after a while that I needed to be going over 60mph to get the auto box to throw it in to 6th gear so started manually shifting it across at 50mph, thus getting the return to over 20mpg |

Sounds like you need to get the gearbox module software updated. Mine changes into top at 50mph.
