2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

give it a good 3 hours in the ignition, with the engine running if possible/safe (if the car battery gets low, which could happen, low power mode might cut power to the key charge circuit (postulation)?). Does anyone have one of the older charging keys - can you tell us if it's Li-ion or Ni-cad charge technology? depending on the answer we will know if the battery in the key has been permanently damaged by being fully discharged. ============

Well tried that mate no good Mad Took it to stratstone this morning got a phone call this afternoon telling me that they checked all the wiring to reciever and found no problems Sad He then said that it was definately the key now, although on first visit he said key was ok Confused Because they couldn't fix it they never charged me thank god,
He then said a new key is on back order and i may not get one before xmas Shocked Shocked Shocked Maybe if i got onto customer care and told them my circumstances i may get one quicker he said Rolling Eyes

Anyway this is pi--ing me right off now only had car 2 days although i really like car apart from this issue i have.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If the fob battery is damaged/ fully discharged and not holding charge then your friendly local LR dealership can put a new battery in. IIRC they have to send them off to be done at a specialist as these fobs are like divers watches and waterproof to 300m depth (if you can find a puddle that deep!). It might even be cheaper to go to a BMW dealers as they use the same fobs in a lot of BMW's 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
