Vinegar is the simple and inexpensive solution to many and varied problems. On my old Land Rover any seized bolts could be released after applying a small amount of vinegar for a few minutes. It works staggeringly well. Also great for cleaning many surfaces, including windows, carpets, metal and paintwork. It is so good that I swear that if it were invented today and put in a fancy bottle and sold for £10's - people would queue to buy it. I kid you not !
