I had this on my last TDV8, but not on my 05 SC. I'm just trying to remember what it was and what it does. Does anyone know?

Is it not to keep the towing attachment clear and free of debris? You remove it when you want to attach the tow bar

Not the red plastic insert that goes in the removable tow bar socket? Mike

Ask the parts people at your local stealer, they normally have loads lying around and may give you one ( mine did this), failing that the part itself is only a couple of quid from Landrover so don't get ripped off on the bay...

Check with your local parts people as it may be cheaper to get the parts om the dealer. I found this with things like wiper arms and blades etc
