Stone (or something) stuck in front brake

My RRS seems to have something stuck in the front n/s brake or wheel resulting in a horrible grinding and squealing noise - even just creeping forwards. Is it (a) driveable, (b) okay to drive to a garage (is a stone removal a Kwik fit job) or (c) ignore the noise until the offending stone is ground down and falls out? Or any good tips for removing it without removing the wheel - and no I can't see where it is lodged.

So much for LR offroad ability - a muddy, very wet unmade road seems to have defeated this time. [/u]

Might be worth trying the brakes gently while reversing and see if the noise changes. The drive forwards and gently apply brakes, change the footbrake pressure annd listen if the sound changes.

It will confirm whethre it is or isn't a brake or drive shaft/CV joint related issue
