Anyone own one of these or has listened to them back to back?

I'm looking to replace my blown up Klipsch i-grove and all my mate's have Bose (which are good but I'm not a fan)

I listened to a zeppelin in the apple store last year and it blew me away... but I've not heard the mini, which is £100 cheaper! RRS gone

Ive an Onkyo iPod dock and you should listen to this set up. Totals about £150 inc the dock and its awesome.

Only downside is that its not an all in one unit so you will have cabling to explain away to SWMBO. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Ahh yes AE, they are just up the road from me.. I nearly got a set of their floor standers but plumped for a set of Monitor Audio silver series in the end.

I really need a one box solution...it just needs to be portable because it will be used in the garden (hence required wattage) dining room and also live in the hall on a sideboard. RRS gone

costco had a sonus ipod dock in the other week, sounded really good

I was in this situation about 12 months ago so I will give you my take on it..................

I wanted something for the kitchen, which was decent looking, iPod compatible, and went relatively loud as I love my music loud

My Father has the big Zeppa, I borrowed this for a few days but found that with my music taste (predominantly Dance) it was pretty awful! The mids are spot on but it lacks bass, and if you turn it up more it just gave up!

I then did the naughty thing and got both the Mini and the Bose Sound Dock Portable on "home approval"

After having both in the kitchen for over 2 weeks, I have to say the Bose won hands down and is what I proudly own now. The Mini was ok, the same as its big brother it lacked bass plus the fact it looked odd and you couldn't move it meant it had to go back!

The Bose now goes everywhere with me, the shower, the garden, the garage when I work out, the list is endless! It has a cracking battery also, which lasts for easily 6 hours whilst also retaining your iPod/iPhones full battery. When plugged in it also act as a dock/charger.

I'm a massive Bose fan, I've got the Lifestyle system in my lounge, 2 of the alarm clock/cd players and also their 2.1 system on my Mac. I REALLY wanted a change and gave B&W a really good go, but they just weren't up to scratch sadly.

Bose offer a 30 day try before you buy, and the Apple store do the same sort of thing although not as long, so I would order both and try like I did
