2008 to 2011 adaptive lights - WILL IT WORK?

Hi,

I am looking to facelift my 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE (V8 3.6) to the 2011 front and rear (new lights, bumpers etc).

I can't foresee any issues bar the front lights I currently have are the adaptive ones so they move as I turn corners - now I'll order the same adaptive lights off the 2011 model but will they work once installed? I.e. will my 2008 computer be able to talk to the 2011 lights and thus the adaptive lights will still work? Will I get any warnings?

Thanks all,

Jon

Is it really worth all the expense? Oh and don't forget the front wings Wink Then there is your insurance company Rolling Eyes Sorry i can't help you with your question, but i will be very surprised if its a straight swap.

you can change the car to 2011 spec and kee your adaptive headlights.

parts you will need are as follows
2011 speec adaptive headlights
2011 front wings
2011 front grille
2011 side vents
2011 front bumper
wiring harness
bumper brackets
parking sensors (theyre a different size)

not a cheap job but it does look awesome when done correctly

hope this helps

Will this work affect the warranty?

(I am feeling like the warranty queen).

not too sure foxy,

the parts we use are all OEM ones so i would need to check.

my guess is that any car thats wanting to undergo a facelift conversion is outside the LR warranty period anyways.

RRS PIMP did you just plug the new lights straight in (part numbers: LR023558/57) and they worked with no issue? No dashboard error lights etc and you didn't have to adjust the wiring looms or install resisters etc?

Thanks all,

Jon

No, I'm factory standard. Most people I know prefer RRS's factory standard. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

The only way I think an update like this should be considered is if you had a front end shunt, such as Geoff did on the Disco 3 forum http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic65893.html?highlight=

Better bet, save your hard earned, and buy a lter model in a year or so. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
