Got an se model, front seats worked absolulety fine, then whilst vacuuming the carpet moved the drivers seat right back and now both seats have stopped working, i have checked all the fuses, i have checked all the wiring and still no movement, although when pressing the swithes to move forwards and back the motor under the seat does jolt, apart from that i can't find why it won't work. Has any one got any suggestions as to what to try??, has any one come accross this problem before. look forward to receiving some comments or answers as frustration has now set in beyond the level of sanity. thanks |

yes we have tried all avenues of pushing the seat whilst pressing buttons, changing fuses again, changing switches, and all the other basics, next week we will be changing some of the wiring and maybe the ecu, we will get an outcome of this problem to which seems very rare so hopefully we are now on the last but most expensive route to try and solve the issue, we have many range rover technicians advise us we have had auto electricians look at it, to the extent the airbag also went off, the air bag went off due to by pass wires slipping onto the wrong connection, all sounds very confusing and very very frustrating but once fixed i think that any one wanting answers in the future about seat failures we can safely say we can advise people about the things to try and the ones to AVOID. trying. being able to discuss issues like this and also read other issues to do with range rovers on this forum is invaluable and i would like to take this oppertunity in thanking all that have come back with potential solutions and things to try. |

I know this won't answer your question directly - have you tried asking over on the sister forums Disco3.co.uk and FullFatRR.com. There are some very knowledgable foks over on those forums who may have come across the problem on those models, some of the FFRR guys have totally stripped out their interiors Remember RRS and Disco3 are very similar cars with many common parts 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
