United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

I once read in another forum that you can reset the information that the computer has obtained from your driving style. It has worked for other car owners (Jaguars and BMWs).

I am not sure if it will work on the Range rover sport but it is worth a try as it.

Here is how to do it.

Turn the ignition switch to 2 so that the electrics are on but the engine is not started

Press the brake pedal firmly for 40 seconds

Turn the ignition off and start the engine.

The system should reset itself and adapt itself to your driving style.

On my TDV8 with the double epic grin factor, to overtake I just throw the stick into command shift and whooosh...! First time I did that the car in front seemed to be reversing swiftly. Anyway,it gets me to the next fuel stop in no time at all.

I thought to reset the gearbox settings, disconnect battery and touch the leads together?

I Think for the newer models that are keyless go, you just set the turn on the system without turning on the engine. Im not too sure whether this will work on a Range rover but it has certainly worked on Jaguars and BMWs (looking at other forums)

Yeah, works for me. Just knock the lever across in to sport, the box always changes down to give c.2k revs and then I press the pedal. And then she just, well, goes! Very Happy 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

i reckon my old 2.7 must have been a slow learner Laughing the 5 years i had it was quite predictable, whereas the new 3 litre gear selection is driving me manic Evil or Very Mad continues to hold gear for far to long, or coming out of a roundabout or after slowing down it cannot find the right gear quick enough, i usually have to over ride it with command shift when its up at the 4K rev or practically ticking over at the other end of the scale and i need some horses applied... must have been decided to go with the wifes style i reckon rather than mine Whistle Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
