Got your npinks thank you.

AZIZBBU I have never used one myself but it looks like it's relatively simple to use. I will be meeting NickM sometime in the near future to try it out and will let you know how it is... Hopefully, NickM knows something about these things Bow down , because I do not! Rolling with laughter Vadim A.

Yes it is idiot proof but it is imperative to clay the car before doing any machine work or you will just make matters worse Exclamation

I've got a very good DVD of how to use the 220 if anyone wants to borrow it, its on for well over an hour and gives you all the info you need including what polishes to use etc Very Happy

The RRS is a huge beast to detail, so dont expect to do it in a day! It took me around 18 hours and that was in my factory, I shudder to think how long outside with hot paint work Big Cry

End result is well worth it though Thumbs Up

I'd be interested in seeing the video. I've got a 220 v1 and always thought I'm probably not getting the best from it! WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

I've got the V1 also, I think the new one is a bit of a gimmick to be honest, all the pro detailers just use a rotary anyway Confused

PM me your details and I'll post the vid to you, its a decent watch but the wife will laugh at you Laughing

Vadim, did you buy the polishing pads aswell?

if not i would suggest, light cut, polishing and finishing and about 2 or 3 of each of them, in standard or smaller sizes for the hard to reach areas

i wouldn't bother with the mircofibre bonnets for wipe off the wax best using a microfibre in the hand

and i would not use a wool pad just yet either, they are very aggresive and might do more damage than good

Oh.... and what polish are you planning on using when the time comes Question

Hi npinks,
Re polishing pads: I was thinking to get meguiars 2.0 foam cutting pad, Foam polishing pad and Foam finishing pad (all from clean your car website)
Re polish: have not decided yet. Did not have much time to do the research and definitely open for suggestions.
I look forward to watching the video as it seems that I still need to learn a lot about this business Smile Also, for the first time I'll be doing the easiest to reach and work with areas due to the lack of experience and leave the difficult areas for the next time and finish those by hand...

Thank you for your posts everyone. Vadim A.

I hear the merenza stuff is good, also the Meguiers polish is good

In the past I used gloss it, but the company (polishedbliss) I bought it from no longer stock and have switched to 3M which is what I would look at next, I think Wink
