AFAIK should be fine in N, certainly done that to mine a couple of times. DO NOT let them use a spec lift and raise one set of wheels. Plus make AA dude a cup and check what your manual says. |

All sorted - trying to steer without power steering is nigh on impossible. Hope I never experience a failure while on the move - totally understand why people are so angry when it happens to them. Must be terrifying. |

Happened to me on way up to Shap summit on the M6. Complete shut down of everything, engine, power steering, suspension dropped & about half a dozen other warnings. Luckily quiet & got to hard shoulder no problems. It's all part of the fun & frolics that is running LRs! |

How was this sorted? According to my information, if there is electrical power, the RRS can be be towed (4-wheel towing), provided: 1. Ignition switch turned to "II"; 2. Gear selector lever in "N" position; 3. Transfer case is in "H", HIGH position; 4. Parking brake released. Caution: The vehicle may be towed for a maximum of 3 hours or 90 miles (150 km) at a maximum speed of 30 mph (50 km/h), these limits MUST NOT be exceeded.
