Which model to buy?

Hi

I'm new to this forum and looking for advice on RRS. Never driven one before (previous and current vehicle have been mercs).
I'm looking at 2/3 year old vehicles and most probably diesel, - I'll possibly do around 10-12k annually. I've convinced myself I need the TDV8 3.6, as I feel that the V6 2.7 would be underpowered, is this the case? I'd hate not having enough power to get past other vehicles if needs be. Won't be towing or anything like that, -this is a family vehicle.
What is the best spec to go for? HSE? Any pointers to look out for, problems with particular age vehicles or engines? Reckon I'll have to pay around £35k, does that sound about right?
Also if anyone knows of good independent RR specialist servicing in or around Nottingham that they can recommend. Thanks

I agree if you're going 2 to 3 years old, obviously Autobiography is now the ultimate Wink

Which Model to buy

Hi Guys thanks for your input.

I've been doing a little research and I think i'm going for a 2008 (57plate) low milage 3.6 TDV8 HSE in stornaway grey from my local LR dealer it has got the uprated 20" stormer wheels (apparently) hope it wont make the ride too harsh, any views?

20" on the sport are fine , the newer 2010MY cars are a firmer ride but a 07-08MY is great on 20" rims 2014 5.0SC AB

Gone 5.0 SC

Nazzo, I've just put 20" Stormers on mine having come with 19's when I picked it up from the dealer a few weeks ago. No problems at all and definetely not too harsh. Good luck. Thumbs Up

I'm getting a TDV8 with 22 inch rims next week but have been offered to change the wheels if i want to for a smaller wheel.

Will the ride to too harsh on 22 as surpose to 20 rims?. RRS TDV8, 22 rims, Privacy Glass, Premuim ICE plus Leather, Sun Roof, Stornoway Grey.

Audi RS4 Avant gone but not forgotten
Audi S4 Avant gone for good, thank god.

i went from 20" stormers to 22" Kahns. just get nice tires. the ride is slightly firmer and the steering a little meatier for the better.
