I have a howdens account if I can be of any help let me know

My parents just had a howdens kitchen put in, looks great Thumbs Up

if your wanting more upmarket, howdens carcasses are well built, then you can finish off with the more upmarket doors, worktops and appliances, it's what my brother in law did Idea

Howdens are fine, depends what yu are going for, installation more important in some instances as to what you are looking to achieve.

ALSO, budget is a big factor, you can go from 5K to 200K....what kind of cabinets? Worktops? depends what level of appliances you are into, from Miele (v good in my opinion) to something far cheaper. So many things tp take into account....

Price can be an issue

My brother went to a kitchen place, nice designs got speaking to the chap there, asked his budget and £15k was banded about for about 2 minutes, when the chaps response was the kitchen demo your standing in was £80k Shocked

Ended up else where, went for Cooke Lewis from B&Q and I think his Bosch appliances he bought online elsewhere cost about the same as his cupboards (oven, steam oven, inbuilt coffee machine, induction hob, griddle next to it, extractor fan

Poggenpohl very good, who are now owned by Magnet - but you need to consider when bespoke is your thing or mass market - which can be very good - but once again, it's down to Installation. I have done Ikea kitchens which have looked great, or Bulthaup done badly, which can also look crap.....

Another thing to consider is how long will you be in your house, an expensive one doesn't add value, just makes it more saleable!! Another thing , is don't believe the hype that expensive will last forever, we put an Alno kitchen in 15 years ago in a traditional style thinking it wouldnt go out of style, but I can see myself changing it in the next year or two as it is a bit tired looking (real wood doors are fine, it's the carcasses that are knacked ! )

I have a friend who works as a marketing manager at Magnet. Got a great deal on my kitchen which came in at staff price plus he arranged huuuge discounts on all the appliances from the reps Very Happy Whistle Very Happy

Biggest discount came in at 90% from Franke for the sink and tap - they still made a profit - the mark up on these items is criminal...

Had my own fitters as there was a lot of structural work to be done at the same time, still only cost a fifth of what it should...
