Sounds like the sensor that detects low light levels, and hence automatically turns the lights on, has gone FUBAR! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

It's part of the same sensor that controls the auto wipers, so is located against the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. I'm not sure about the replacement procedure but, I'm sure someone on here, such as Bobby, will be able to give you the exact information. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

The light sensor is incorporated in the rain/light sensor located on the inside of the windshield, below the rear view mirror.
