The size they have fitted is in the 2010 handbook in winter tyres section but appears to be an error highlighted in updated advice posted on this site by James. LR have not advised owners direct. The wheel size/pressure label on the vehicle door should be followed at all times ![]() Having searched t'internet for information regarding winter tyres, sizes, ratings, warranty implications, insurance, etc..... I now believe you can fit 255/50 R19 107 H or 275/40 R20 106 V winter tyres during cold weather only provided they are LR wheels - The rest of the year you can have the same size wheels/tyres but they must be Y rated tyres ![]() Any variation from this must be approved by your insurance company and LR ![]() This means I am unable to find all season/M+S tyres for my 20's with a Y rating and have to buy 19's and fit winter tyres for swapping around or all season Y rated ![]() In the event of an accident investigation you could be prosecuted for not meeting the above requirements ![]() Useful links http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/safet...he-uk.html http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic19985....tyres+list http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic19979.html?highlight=heard Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW Still hoping for a S2 one day! |

I think if you read the following from the AA then you have nothing to worry about and this was also confirmed and covered by the BBC news last weekend:
