Polybush for ARB

Looking at changing thr ARB bushes on my 06 2.7tdv6 and as it's such a constant issue with the rrs I was thinking on using polybushes which should last longer.

I've done a few searches on here but not much info. Anybody used polybushes for the ARB - have they lasted?

Polybushes aren't new, so there must be a reason why they haven’t been used from the start with I would guess.
The softer rubber has a dampening effect, mayby that is the reason? RRS SDV6 HEV Dynamic

Polybushes badly affect the RRS ride from what ive read and in the ARB id assume the harder compound will transmit noise. Only an assumption though.

Powerflex don't list them for RRS, have you seen them for our cars ?

I have seen them at

http://www.polybush.co.uk/shop/478_Optional_Extras
At only £15 per set!

I understand where your coming from re noise. This may be why not a lot of owners on here use the STD landrover ones.
I was probably wrongly thinking they should be better than the standard.
Anybody fitted any?? RRS HSE with a few extras & a

Hi UK Guy

I have used Polybushes previously on a Defender and a Disco and was very impressed with them, very easy to fit and made a vast difference to both vehicles.

At £15 I think you have nothing to lose, I would be interested to know what you think of them if you decide to go ahead with the change. Thumbs Up

Jim

Jim

I think I will have them fitted rather than the STDs and hope they are ok.

I have ordered both front and back so with any luck that should be the end of issues with Arb bushes for a long time

I'll let you know how I get on. RRS HSE with a few extras & a

I was advised by LR that they have re designed / improved the ARB bushes because of all the problems and have been quoted around £20 or so for supply of the new ones on the front.

If it were a simple job id buy them and try them out but @ £100 labour to have them replaced i dont want to do it and find i wish i had used the polybushes.

UK Guy,once they are fitted can you report the immediate impression then comment after they have settled in after a few miles please ?.

On the subject, is ARB bush replacement a dealer / indy job or can it be done at home with moderate know how and tools ?.

Just checked out the site and noticed clamps and mounts, did you get both and if so do you need to do both on the front and both on the rear ?.

I was lead to believe that one set was for the non ace (forgot what they call it on the rrs) and one was for ace (I've got non ace). The rrs with ace has different size than non ace.

So as far as I understand they will be supplying 1 bush for each corner.
Is this correct? RRS HSE with a few extras & a
