United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

It gets worse!

Based on the thinking of the fuel problem I dosed it up with additive and then went out tonight to try to give it a bit of a run.

No power again and the gearbox didnt change at all, the revs just kept climbing - so I switched to sport mode and changed manually - and then all of a sudden the dash lit up like a christmas tree with messages reporting "transmission fault" "hdc fault" and "suspension lowering". Trying to keep calm I limped home and have been trying to find out anything I could through google when I came across the link to this youtube vide:

I also came across some information about this happening when you get a blown tail light Shocked which incidentally I have had for a few days before changing it today.

Is anyone any the wiser? Best Wishes

Gary

I have had the 'won't change up' problem with the gearbox Shocked , which in my case was a faulty brake light filament, but could also be a faulty brake light switch (above brake pedal). I believe some of these messages can also appear when the battery is not as fully charged as it could be. Not sure whether any of these would cause your low power problem though, as said before, this is usually EGR valve related. Good Luck. RRS TDV8 Buck Blue (no, not now in my dreams). ..........D3 TDclankety clankV6 ............BMW 318i

Try the fuel pump or filter

I had the same when the fuel pump and/or filter were bad. Changed them and had not problems since.

Spot on Texstar! Diagnostics revealed two problems - faulty brake light causing the nightmare with the transmission and suspension - Unbelievable Shocked and EGR valves.

First one sorted in 2 seconds with a new bulb Rolling Eyes and its going back in on Wednesday for the valves to be cleaned.

Will let you know if it works! Best Wishes
