it sounds like the FURY one is a wool one, these can, in the wrong hands, cause lots of swirls etc

You should start off with the pad than will provide the least correction, with the least agressive polish

I've been using the pad with the Super Resin Autoglym product but what i've found is the polish drys up too quick when I apply it to the car and I end up using far too much polish, then i'm using the wool fury pad to buffer off the polish.

you should use the foam pads to apply and work the polish then a microfibre cloth to wipe off, you could be inflicting more swirls in using the wool pad

i agree, I assumed pad to apply polish and wool to buffer off obviously not the case and difficult to know unless you have guided instructions.

i've never removed badges, so i could say for sure, but I presume something like a automotive glue/tar remover would remove any glue residue |

Harry - I have heard people say on hear about using fine fishing line or similar to get behind the lettering and cut through glue, not done it before but sounds feasable, and yes i would have thought tar remover would remove the remaining glue |
