Hi

For some reason the DVD will not read the dvds anymore. I guess it might be something to do with region code, but can not see why its a problem now, when it used to read the same DVDs. Btw, I only use region 2 dvds.

I am the only one who has tried this problem? It will read one out of 90 or so, and they have seen those 4 dvds now

Its the factory installed headrest multimedia system which is controlled from the head unit and has the 6-dvd changer from alpine in the back.

It sees the discs but says "No Disc".

Get rid of the kids

Hacve you tried a cleaner disk, have been problems with heads getting contaminated. Might clean up if lucky otherwise could be new unit required

I had this problem with my old RRS and never got it sorted before I sold on - not much use I'm afraid except to let you know it's not an isolated problem. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

"No Disc" display often means 2 things:

1. No disc is loaded - obviously load disc into magazine;
2. Disc is dirty - clean disc as ww advised earlier.

Even brand new DVDs straight out of the box will not play. Got a cleaner disc and "played" it. Helped with some of the DVDs, but not all. So dirty laser sounds right, but the unit may need to be taken apart and cleaned?

what DVD's are you trying to watch, may be a "Taste" filter purple people eater
