Burning Smell

I have a RRS 2006 4.4 HSE. There seems to be a burning smell inside the cabin when I accelerate hard. You can even smell with the window closed. Is that normal? Do you think is coming from the engine bay or exhaust? Please help.

Had that sometime ago. Ignored it but shouldn't have The handbrake hadn't released on one side. Eventually the brake shoe collapsed causing a grinding noise . Had to replace disc pad and hub. Suggest you visit the dealer or get LR assist out if still in warranty.

I get the same smell but only in 2 situations....

1.. if I drive it hard

2.. if I'm towing my caravan (60mph) in hilly country working it hard (but only 1800rpm or 2200 rpm).

In normal solo driving or flat towing no smell.

Mine smells like burning rubber.
I have checked the rear drums when I get the smell while towing and only hot to the touch and not on fire..

Sorry I cant be more help but you are not alone.
