TDV6HSE MY10 Stop immediately, Stop Safely, Turn off engine

Hello.

Just bought new RRS TDV6 HSE MY10 for my wife. After only 500 miles from new, she experienced twice the following warning message display: ! 'Stop immediately, Stop Safely, Turn off engine' ! (exact wording though maybe an approximation here).

She stopped the vehicle and restarted on the first occasion and the message cleared, but only to reappear some five miles later and less than half a mile from home. After resetting by the same method again, she drove home and called Land Rover Assist, who on investigation, confirmed that no fault had been recorded in the diagnostics and advised her to continue driving the vehicle as no fault was evident. Driven some 30 miles since with no recurrence.

Can anyone kindly advise on what course of action we should be taking here, dealer not yet commenting on issue.

Thanks, look forward to any of your thoughts. Question

keep driving...just a "ghost"....Could happen once or twice and then never again....

If it does happen again, could be a faulty sensor... Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

I had this problem on my MY10 TDV8. It was alledgedly solved by a software update as part of the 'MY10 Quality Assurance Programme' - haven't had it recurr since. The programme sorted a long list of software gremlins as I understand. However if your vehicle was only recently delivered it should have already been applied. Get it back to the dealer as it is a pain having to keep stopping the car to get it out of it's 'hypochondriac mode'.

Good luck!

I had this happen once. As well as the warning to STOP Did you notice if there was also an image of the car in the centre display console with what looked like 2 arrows coming from the car (left & right) bending down towards the ground. This is the indicator for when you are off road and arein danger of tipping the car over. As I was parked in my driveway at the time I doubt the car was about to fall over Whistle
It cleared after about 10 mins. My car was going in to the dealer anyway so I mentioned it to them and they chacked the cars error logs. The only fault was that the car had "lost communication" with one of the sensors. It is now a good few weeks later and I have had no recurrance of the problem. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
