2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Baby seats

Sorry to discuss something really boring...
I've got a new baby arriving soon and my recaro baby seat is compatible with an isofix base.
I was wondering if anyone with kids uses isofix in their RRS.....baby or toddler seats.
Cheers

Its worth considering something to protect the seat since the isofix holds the child seat very tight against the leather.
Halfords do a really cool cover that also protects the seat from little feet too!

The ISOFix is great but IMO only for children who would use a forward facing seat. For a newborn I would always use the carry seat so that the baby is facing to the rear of the car when traveling. I seem to remember that in the event of an accident the force of the crash is absorbed better this way. Do your own research though. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Hi Mandanz,
Welcome to the Forum.
Baby seats aren't a boring subject, they are a vital one, so don't worry about asking about them.

We used Isofix with Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix when our wee boy was born. It's a complete system, is rear facing and the seat/carrier is compatible with the Quinny Buzz strollers which is great.
Have a look here:- http://www.maxi-cosi.com/gb-en/carseats/baby/cabriofix

Now that our wee boy is 1 year old we have had to move up to a proper forward facing seat. I looked at a huge range, including Isofix models, but in the end I chose a non - isofix seat. The fact that it is not Isofix is outweight by its superb fittting system along with the fact that the seat turns through 90 degrees to allow you easy placement/removal of the child and it will do him until he is 4 years old. The seat is a Maxi-Cosi Axiss. You can see them in mothercare (but don't buy it there) The best price (that was also IN Stock) was from Amazon.co.uk and was delivered in 3 days. We ordered 2, 1 for my RRS & 1 for my wife's Freelander2. Because of the height of the cars and my wife being only 5'4" she finds the Axiss seat a real help. here is a link to the Axiss page :- http://www.maxi-cosi.com/gb-en/carseats/toddler/axiss

Hope this helps.

I do use isofix.. and I placed some Alcantara between leather and baby seat to protect the leather from the metal attachments. Even better is to place a little bit bigger piece of Alcantara or similar fabric also to protecyt the sides of the seat, because I know how the milk or afterwards juice bottles fly around Laughing . Also I read that the safest palce in the car is behind the driver´s seat 2008 RRS TDV8 HSE, Java black, Alpaca,.....

I went with this one
http://www.maxi-cosi.com/gb-en/carseats/toddler/priorifix

Thing about these seats is that it exposes the rear cabin for being pretty small.
- My child is 3 and she can kick the hell out of the front seat in the above priorifix.

And have one without isofix / the leg in my BMW and it is just not as stable as the priorifix....

That said, it could be the seat shape in the 3 series. 2022 P440e AB

We went for this one. It is quite gadgety with its own speakers.
