Took the wifes Rav 4 in for yet another oxygen sensor today ! 3rd one in 10 months, apparently normal for Rav 4's
Anyway whilst there had a test drive of the new IQ Squared. toying with the idea of trading said Rav in for something a bit more fuel efficient (uses more fuel round town than the RRS !)
I know some of you have had bad experiences of Land Rover dealers but the Toyota dealer experience was eye openingly poor. Best analygy was similar to shopping at Lidl instead of Harrods.
Took out a manual IQ, was okayish but would have prefered an auto to try.
Would like to try an auto IQ "havent got any"
When you going to have one "don't know, we dont normaly get them as demo's"
But you have a 59 plate on the forecourt. "yes but we don't want to put any miles on it as its for sale"
How can I make a desicion if I havn't driven one "well if you want to buy that one you can take it for a test drive"
How will I know I won't to buy it if I havn't driven it !
Suffice to say we won't be buying a Toyota from that dealer !
Looks like wife will be getting a Freelander 2 instead MY10 TDV6 HSE, Alaska White, Ebony with Contrast, Park Heat, Paddle Shift, Privacy, Heated Steering Wheel, Extended & Premium Leather,

I had an experience of Honda today with my father. He's looking at trading in a 3 year old Jazz (he's over 80 so that's OK). 1st suspicion of problems with the new model - they offered Dad £2000 more for his 1.4Jazz Sport SE with 7 speed automatic than he bought it from the same outlet 3 years ago (and it was a 1year old used car then!) - ask the dealer how he can do this......................... well they cannot get enough used previous generation Jazzes with high spec, huge demand. Why don't people want the latest generation - suspension is too harsh and wind noise on the motorway (this IS a positive person trying to sell his product!), oh and people don't like the shape of the new one and they find visibility from the driver seat is not as good as the old one! How positive can you get, at least he is being honest! Then the crunch - do you have a demo with autobox....................... ah no! It's only the most popular version and most purchased spec by oldies so they carry only a base model manual as a demo! Oh and would sir be happy with £1000 discount on a new car and the "showroom" tax paid too. My god I thought small city cars were selling like hotcakes at the moment, but it appears the latest generation Honda Jazzes aren't exactly flying out of the showroom, no matter what incentives are on offer. Father now has a demo of an automatic version next week when the dealer brings in another car from one of their other branches. Must admit I cannot believe my father even wants to change cars, his current one gets 56mpg up hill and down dale, regardless of town or country driving and goes like a bomb when you want it to, the new version seems to be a bit of a dud and it is in demand! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
