Hi guys,
Placed an order for a TDV6 RRS on Sunday in Bali Blue, pick up 1st March.
Only thing is they rang up today to say that the original sale’s man had not put the carpet mats on the original order form.
They then said that due to this I would have to pay £131 extra for them.
I'm spending £52k and they want more money off me, I thought these things came as standard.
They did when I picked up my Focus RS last month.
So if they come on a 26K Ford then why not a Range Rover sport?

Any help in resolving this matter with the dealer would be appreciated.

May be speaking out of tern but i think its just one of the things the dealers keep up their sleeves for a sweetner, but if you dont ask you dont get. It may be included in price, but if you dont ask they can charge extra and make more commission Cynic me

Right interesting view point. Think I may speak to the dealer principal tomorrow and see what he say’s, maybe bend his arm a little bit. Certainly put a downer on a transaction that up till this point was top notch.

Do I get a badge when joining the purple car owners club?
I think the wife thinks I’ve gone made having a bright green RS and now a purple RRS.
But hey I like to stand out!

If your paying 52k for a new car and not getting floormatts I'd take my money elsewhere, absolute .

If your saying the original salesman didnt include the floormatts in the order then isnt it his fault?

Regarding Bali Blue, IMHO having got used to it, love it, its different and does stand out, and no forum memeber ever made fun of my earlier "purple issues" purple people eater

Yer, I'm on plenty of forums, to know the individual opinion does not represent the masses view.
To be honest they gave me a good price for my PX price and I’m not going to walk away from deal due to mats, when they have already given me 3.5% off the price. Few toys on the car ect.
See what I can do tomorrow but I was just surprised these things had to be specked separately on the order sheet.
And yes it is the sales man’s fault so I cant see why I should foot the extra cost.

As for my friends, I haven't told them about the RRS. But I’m sure nothing with phase them after seeing my Green Bogey RS.

Mine came without mats, then when I tried to buy them at full price I was told LR were out of stock at the factory so I had to wait for them.
