For the first time ever I let them pick it up, but only because I now know the driver well enough and have seen how he drives the cars, he's a good bloke.

I booked it in so they can look at a whole raft of things that were niggling me, but not problem enough individually to warrant it going in.

1. Clanking noise when reversing on full lock at access height
2. Logic 7 too muffly and bassy, needs s/w upgrade
3. Heater system needs s/w upgrade- poor flow, low heat on cold days and roasting feet all the time.
4. Knocking from steering column
5. Rear tailgate struts weak
6. Windscreen wipers make too much noise as they drag across the screen (still! )
7. Poor cold starting
8. A much needed valet!

Not sure if I will get chance to update you when it comes back as we go on holiday the following morning, but will eventually of course (They have computers in Canada right?) L319 D4 HSE

My dealer told me the struts were designed that way and new ones wont help in cold weather. God they area annoying

I am fully expecting them to come back with replies like

"We couldn't replicate this..."

or

"We tested that and they all do this..."

I just called the Dealer to check on the status (cos they never call you, do they? )

Apparently this is where they are at with each issue:

1. Clanking noise when reversing on full lock at access height
They have ordered a steering shaft to cure this
2. Logic 7 too muffly and bassy, needs s/w upgrade
Performed the Upgrade and it seems to be much clearer and less muffled
3. Heater system needs s/w upgrade- poor flow, low heat on cold days and roasting feet all the time.
Performed the upgrade
4. Knocking from steering column
as above steering issue, could be related
5. Rear tailgate struts weak
Ordered new gas struts to be fitted
6. Windscreen wipers make too much noise as they drag across the screen (still! )
Ordered me some new wipers to be fitted
7. Poor cold starting
Found a malfunctioning Oxygen Sensor, ordered it, also replaced a coil sensor.

I am pleasantly surprised that so many of the issues have been solved, even if it means I have to book it in again once I am back from holiday to have the steering shaft, sensor, gas struts and wipers fitted.
