Very, Very well... I live in the news centre of the world - Basingstoke, a 15min drive took 7.5hrs the issue was other cars not my RRS. including the guy that hit 2 cars as he slid down the hill on target for mine so a kerb climb (and nasty scrapped alloy on my week old car) to stop him hitting. HDC was excellent, very hilly in parts so this was my settings; GGS Low Range HDC No slips, no slides, no issues going up or going down hills on top of that Mrs Wokka wants to get rid of her Focus ST2 and get a Defender with "all the bits" GONE** RRS 3.0SC Silver fully loaded - 2020 110 loving it BMW R1200GSA Rallye GONE** Fiesta ST2 - Mrs Wokka's - AMG35 now GONE**BMW K1600GTLE Matt Blue GONE**Disco 4 2014 Firenze Red GONE**Evoque SD4 Dynamic Coupe GONE**RRS 5.0 SC GONE**RRS HSE TDV8 GONE**RRS HSE TDV8 (The Crap one) GONE**FL Facelift GONE**FL 1 GONE**D1 GONE**BMW R1200GS Adventure GONE: Kawasaki ZX10R GONE: Focus ST2 ** Chinook CH47 - 2 x T55 engines 3,750 hp each!! 183mph, 2xM134 Miniguns, 1xM60 |

Wokkaman, I too live in Hatch Warren, Basingstoke! The hill up to Beggarwood seemed to have been a real issue for others.

I used the HDC this morning on the short hill out from my house to the main road which was a sheet of ice under frozen snow - commandshift 1st and HDC and it tip-toed down the slope no problem, no slipping or sliding. BUT once 2.7tonnes of SUV starts sliding on ice not much is going to stop it except another 2.7 tonne SUV or as brick wall 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have to say HDC has been a godsend getting out of my office carpark. The muppet in the BMW X5 on the otherhand was wishing he had it as he ended up in the hedge. |

HDC was one piece of technology that BMW "stole" from LR when they sold the company to Ford, I am surprised that the X5 doesn't have it, unless it is an optional extra. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Ive ben using it the last couple of days to come down the hill into the estate here (cant be bothered going the long way round to come in the other side) and its been brilliant. Just have to remember to slow down before turning in and then it creeps down the hill all the way to the house. Mum had her first outing in the snow in it today and she didnt believe I wasnt doing the braking till I took my feet away from the pedals altogether. Current, M135i in Estoril Blue with more extras than the cast of Ben Hur.

Did anyone notice that HDC on the 2010 models works a lot more quiet than on the previous model? And I suppose this was the case on the previous model as well, although I never used it, but it also works in reverse? (Something Toyota has been claiming for years is something that’s only available on the Landcruiser Prado). The new “slow release” function of HDC also works very well. Simply let go of the brake pedal and the breaks are slowly released by the system. 2010 Sport Supercharged with all options apart from TV and Extended leather (wish I had the latter) (Previously 2007 RRS S/C) |

As with all things techy......one has to engage brain and turn them on before you have an issue. Once you start to slide down a hill is way too late.
