There is a known lag in the diesels (both 6 and 8-cylinder), but can be removed by chipping... speak to our forum sponsor Pete Bell at BAS - he can sort you out with something suitable.

Yup, that's the 'old' TD engine for you. If you know anything about turbo engines, they use the exhaust gasses to spin a compressor to charge the air into the cylinders before combustion. Trouble is the turbo is a relatively heavy thing which takes a bit of time to spin up. The new 3.0 TDV6, uses 2 turbos now to avoid this, a smaller lighter one is used to get up and go and then the larger one is used essentially from then.
