FUEL PROBLEM...HELP ASAP PLEASE

TDV6 2006... Changed fuel filter as there was sediment in tank, this was causing fuel starvation(power loss)... In my lack of knowledge at time , i was not aware of purging method...started engine, cut out afer 20sec.. Cranked engine in hope of lifting fuel up,, battery eventually flat...

Battery now fully charged, tried purging fuel up, nothing... Put ignition pos2 with bleed valve off...nothing.. I cannot hear fuel pump kickin in... relays seem ok, fuses good.... fuel in tank 212miles remaining..

Fuel lines from top of engine to filter are ok... Is it pump, or have it shutdown because i cranked it to long??

1 am i right in believing ECU can be reset to solve problem??

2 Where,s the pump

3 Does anyone know what it coul be... and what to do..

Be much appreciative... am desperate as we going away on weekend

Thanks guys RRS HSE 06

Hi, did you get it sorted? The pump is inside the tank....just guessing, but maybe you need to bleed the system (I'm assuming it's a diesel). Try searching here or disco3.co.uk or check out the gtr (landrover global technical reference) site).

yes sorted it .... here,s a tip for you all... instead of using fuel primer to pull air out, we put fuel in, engine starts immediately.. turn engine off straight away... take purge off replace bleed valve.. start engine and it will do the rest itself... we spent 3hrs trying to prime fuel up... Landrover wanted to take tank off... the pump in the tank is only 0.5bar and is just to get fuel out of tank to main pump if run dry... App massive issues with these pumps and tech landrover are trying to bypass them....

I have lots of answers to fuel probs now guys... so feel free

thanks for getting back RRS HSE 06
