Noise in the dash

Having taken delivery of a new TDV8 in March and proceeded to fall more in love as every weeks driving past...
What a car! What an engine Very Happy

Around a month ago she developed an increasing annoying noise from the central dash region. A sort of tap cum creak cum knock, difficult to describe really.

Guy Salmon Leeds were good about it and took her in at my convenience saying they dont really get dash noise problems with the RRS. Lucky ol' me then Rolling Eyes

After a test drive the noise was heard almost immediately and all agreed that it should not be there. Locating the source was considerably more difficult.

Anyway after much looking whilst trying to preserve the integrity of her dashboard they finally found an air-con pipe that had come away from it's clip just inside the bulkhead. I will have to believe them on this as I am not going to look myself.

Outcome: Noise gone and love affair continues.

Much appreciation of the way Guy Salmon Service Department dealt with her little problem.
Now back to the road Very Happy

Well done - usually a pointer to aircon drainpipes coming loose is damp footwell carpet though, you must have caught it in time though. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
