What a car! What an engine

Around a month ago she developed an increasing annoying noise from the central dash region. A sort of tap cum creak cum knock, difficult to describe really.

Guy Salmon Leeds were good about it and took her in at my convenience saying they dont really get dash noise problems with the RRS. Lucky ol' me then

After a test drive the noise was heard almost immediately and all agreed that it should not be there. Locating the source was considerably more difficult.

Anyway after much looking whilst trying to preserve the integrity of her dashboard they finally found an air-con pipe that had come away from it's clip just inside the bulkhead. I will have to believe them on this as I am not going to look myself.

Outcome: Noise gone and love affair continues.

Well done - usually a pointer to aircon drainpipes coming loose is damp footwell carpet though, you must have caught it in time though. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
