hi..please help and advise if poss.. have a power failiure in my rr sport tdv8 auto , 08 , done about 25 k miles..... it happens when i accelerate quite rapid , the dash displays transmission failure and ecu mode , lowers my suspension,engine still runs but no gears or power when i pull over stop and restart the ignition its ok ... start yesterday its happened about 4 times now ... worried its gonna do it when im overtaking, is this a common fault what things do i need to make the dealer check , up the mariners

Just get it to your dealer asap - he will do the rest. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

Had this happen - no engine power and a maximum speed of about 4kmh; not good at rush hour crossing an intersection! Turned out to be the fuel pump required replacing. No longer have this problem - now just need to fix the moving seat after it was replaced for clunking, fix the gps display as it flashes and now in tomorrow to have the check engine light checked - apparently the MAS is on the way.....please no more.

thanks for your reply ... got it back from the dealers they said the codes indicated a fuel problem ... something to do with injector 2 .... they reset the codes tried to make it happen again but it wont , can't make my mind up if they have just fobbed me off or sorted it ?

If it happens again, try replacing the fuel filter
