Sorry to hear of you loss mate.

Due to the increased efforts of the manufacturer to make better car alarms and theft protection it is a sad and sorry situation that we now face more dwelling house burglaries to get hold of car keys.

Since getting my HST last week I have always taken my car keys to bed (placing them on the bedside unit) but will be investing in a small safe to put my keys in after the Xmas break.

I strongly suggest others look after their car keys at home since your house is far easier to break into than you car in most cases.

On another note, what do people think of the factory tracker system that can be obtained for the RRS?

Dwelling house Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Wink Wink

I always take my keys to bed with me to. Please don't get the tracker. Well I don't think they are that good had 24 hour cover on mine and they didn't even know it had moved when it was taken to the dealer.

If you cant have your keys in a locked house then not sure what you do, my only concern now is that my insurance policy is down as normally garaged however last night it was on the drive!!!!

Examine the small print, they will attempt to wriggle out of any payment if it was not parked in a locked garage overnight.

I never cared where I left my keys with the old cars but a bit more focused with the RRS ones.

One word of caution with protecting the keys or placing them closer to your bed, certain idiots might go that extra length to take you car. You have to make the decision of what reaction to take if you then come face to face with prospect thiefs if they try it on.... sorry but I'm not going to say what I would do just in case I have to use it in a defence case.... Whistle Wink

normally parked in the garage, is fine as you normally do.

If they are going to come and visit your property make sure you could actually fit it in the garage (i.e. remove the junk that most of us store in there)

or have a valid excuse why you didn't on this occasion
