I presume your garage keys were on the key fob with the RRS keys - its amazing that they know what's in a locked garage! Whistle 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

1. Censored 's
2. Good call James.
3. Npinks - agree normally garaged should suffice as long as able to fit in garage (ie doors wide enough) Embarassed

Hope it is found or the insurers take care of you

Last year I had my safe stolen, I had all the spare car keys in the safe, I ended up having to change the locks on several cars which was a small fortune and not covered by insurance.

If your going to get a safe, get a big heavy one that is bolted down, a small safe is worse than no safe as all your valuables are in one place. Perrys For New & Used Range Rover Sports

I always take my keys to bed with me to. Please don't get the tracker. Well I don't think they are that good had 24 hour cover on mine and they didn't even know it had moved when it was taken to the dealer.

We were burgled last year and had a car stolen - the RRS keys were upstairs thankfully - but looking at the drugged up w Censored kers that will stop at nothing to get their next fix is it really worth the risk of having them next to you and Mrs....and maybe the kids too? Confused

At the end of the day its a piece of metal that is insured - and while its a pain in the arse, anyone can have my car rather than risking the family. Exclamation

Still agree that they are scum and someone needs to develop an inverter-type charger that make the whole car "live" without some biometric based key. I wouldnt mind seeing some chargrilled scumbag next to my car in a morning.......certainly would reduce the risk of them doing it again Laughing RRS TDV6 SE Java Black +towpack +tintent +Permagrin

Well the police arrived yesterday and did all the forensics and immediate comment was "stolen to order and probably already in a container on a boat somewhere"

So now await the discussions with the insurance company and GAP provider.

they are properly right and most likely not going to "look" for it but the fact is it could also be parked up down a side road somewhere been watched, waiting to see if the police to turn up to find out whether its got a tracker or not

Might be worth a drive around the area etc

Thanks mate but we are a bit rural round here and we have already scoured the area although what you explained happened to me when living in Leeds some years ago and my car was found in East End Park exactly as you describe but i think that was because the Censored who did that where just out to race around in a nice car, ps on your other point it normally is in the garage but do to some work it was not Censored

I strongly suggest others look after their car keys at home since your house is far easier to break into than you car in most cases.

I would strongly not recomend this!!! On some other sites I read that when they do not find the keys they then wake you up which I would prefere they didnt!

But seriously, it is best to let them take the car as in comparisson, it not much.
