With various promos, I've collected about 12000 Nectar points with BP alone, and I bought the car as I work from home, so average annual milage, about 6000 - 7000 miles..... 2008 RRS S/C, Java Black/Ebony Sports Seats, Side Steps, Zebrano, Privacy Glass, Premium ICE, Hybrid TV, 22" Black/Polish Stormers. |

Just out of interest do you use 98 octane or regular 95? |

Just to add insult to injury, I drive with the afterburners on, wing passed S/C range rovers every day tootling along at 55 trying to eek an extra 1mpg out of the tank and I still get 550 miles to a tank - it astounds me how many people want the kudos of a S/C but can't afford to fuel it - or can - but find it frightening to fill up every two days and end up driving like a 90 year old. Me I am happy with my Tractor Juice fuelled FFRR - theres virtually no daily difference in performance, unless you drive flat out 0-60 all the time and which S/C owner is going to do that - virtually no 4x4 can out-gun it If you want supercharged performance and diesel economy get a TDV8 chipped by JE - its faster. If you drive hard in a Petrol V8 RR you will be lucky to get 10 mpg - thats exactly what I get out of my other vehicle... |

Plenty of reported SC mpg figures on here Another, if you've been here long enough and paid attention like a lot of us have then 12mpg is not at all unusual. 150 miles out of a tank is also not unusual.

Cheers guys - I'm not actually that bothered about the cost as no amount is too much to enjoy the sound of the supercharger whining and a big V8 at 6,000 rpm IMO The £5,000 I saved buying an S/C instead of a TDV8 will pay for a hell of a lot of petrol even at 12 mpg

Another SW, i use 98 all the time, and I know BP have a 102 out on trial at the moment only in a few forecourts. Would be interested to see the diff. 2008 RRS S/C, Java Black/Ebony Sports Seats, Side Steps, Zebrano, Privacy Glass, Premium ICE, Hybrid TV, 22" Black/Polish Stormers. |

Put simply, the S/C is the Beast and the TDV is a Beastette...........even at 12mpg, you chose the right engine....if you want economy, buy a Mini D and join the minions.
