DR knocking cured!

At least temporarily Laughing

Not sure if I'm being told the full story, but after having the car for a week, my mechanic decided to lubricate all bushes etc in the front suspension (& tried to charge me for it Twisted Evil ) and the knocking was gone. We are 100% sure that the knocking was from the DR system because it stopped once the fuse was pulled. I don't see how lubricating the bushes has helped but as long as the car doesn't knock......

My mate reckons they've disabled the DR somehow, but I'm sure that would throw up warning lights etc?

I suppose time will tell...

Not sure if you get a warning light if DR is disabled, but you should be able to tell fairly easily just from driving it. The difference in handling between DR and non-DR RRSs is quite marked.

klm, the fuse was only pulled to test for the source of the noise, then replaced. It is fuse 9, left hand side of engine bay.

I didn't try driving with the fuse pulled.

Ask your dealer to lubricate all the bushes etc and see if it helps?
