Just got my insurance renewal from Allianz and it has gone up from £681.80 to £869.52 has anyone else had one recently to give me some idea as to whether a 25% increase is the norm?

IIRC my insurance is less than £400, I don't use my motor for business but like Tim I have also got the off road cover.

Oh and mine is a TDv8 not a TDv6..................................... and just incase you qualify, I've just found that Saga couldn't even do it for TWICE the premium I'm currently paying, despite promising that they would be able to HALF my annual premium if I took my business to them! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'm fairly sure Tim still uses Land Rover Insurance for his motors. He recommended them to me a few years ago and I can't remember him ever mentioning changing to anyone else.

@TB I sent a reply to Oilman by PM earlier. He insures his 110 for a lot less than LRI charges me for my 90 though! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'll have to see what NFU can as my RRS's insurance is due for renewal in March and if they can do it for £300 less than LRI for the same cover I know where I'll be going with both cars. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I am with esure and I have full Class 1 Business Use as well as the usual cover plus the wife as a named driver. £400 ish last renewal - and this was even after a fault claim (£3500). Thank goodness for protected NCD. However, they refused to cover my Sunday car that I bought 2 weeks ago, but I managed to get this on a classic policy elsewhere at a ridiculously cheap price with a specialist broker - £260 against £800 with the 'high street' insurance brands.
