stone chip repairs

Has anyone got any experience of having stone chips repaired? - I've got a few on my RRS and wondering if I get someone to touch them up properly, or forget about that and get panels resprayed sometime completely. What's the cost for some of the mobile chip repair people, or is it not worth bothering and better spraying? Got a few on bonnet front edge, and around rear doors so thought might sort them all out sometime. All suggestions/advice greatly appreciated as have not had to sort this before and don't know the best way of doing it. Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE, Buckingham Blue with Ebony Black

For what it's worth, I'd look at having a smart repair done just before you come to sell the car.

In my experience they dont seem to last the test of time. The lacquer thins and is noticeable after six months.
If you spray the panel and the match isn't exact then it could give the impression it's hiding more than just stone chips.

Try your local Chipsaway franchise or Dentmaster - best to get something on them if they are through the paint and into the primer, to prevent any of this winter's salt starting the corrosion cell. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Touching chips up can make them look worse than the chips themselves, get the panel repainted and if needed then get the sorounding panels blended, which ever bodyshop you use ask them if they use the new scratch resistant laquer,IT IS AMAZING,i painted the front end of my girlfriends audi s3 in december to put it through its paces and i checked the other day and there is not one stone chip on the front of the car,i wouldnt go back to using any other stuff in my bodyshop Thumbs Up
