Am thinking of doing some semi serious off-roading with the Rangie for family trips and will often be on our own without a second support vehicle.

jimmy - Unfortunately you are finding the 'rape and pillage' attitude of Land Rover Australia when pricing their accessories locally. Is the 4.5k is for just the winch or does it also include the mounting place and mantec sump guard?

The G4 winch for the RRS is a Warn XP9.5 and yes it's only 9000lbs. In the UK these cost about £800. You are better fitting another make and probably best place to ask which one is on the disco3.co.uk forum. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Yes they are. The underguard is about £400, the mounting plate is the difficult thing to get - I got mine off ebay and just sold it onto Lespes. I think you can get the winch & plate as a kit but it'll cost about £1650.00. The other option is to contact RLD on disco3 - he might be able to knock up a mounting plate at a reasonable price. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
