Red - that's good news but when I was looking at the LR extended warranty it was different to the original 3 year warranty/60,000 that came with the RRS when new. I would say check & double check this warranty. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Technically that's incorrect. The new warranty excludes :- The £895 warranty covers defects to most factory fitted components of the vehicle for mechanical or electrical failure. IT DOES NOT COVER :- All service / maintenance operations Glass Paintwork / bodywork Wheels / balancing etc Air con recharging Telephone / TV / DVD / Sat Nav Big Cry Tyres Batteries Bulbs Exhaust Systems Water ingress Big Cry Strikers and hinges Wear and tear My guess is that glass, batteries, exhausts, water ingress, air con would be covered under the initial warranty. 2022 P440e AB |

Wise move, if i can get this ASF problem sorted out I could see me keeping the RRS for 5 years. It does appear to be a complicated beast so a worth while extended policy is IMHO a must.

First time the RRS broke down I got so fed up waiting for the recovery chap, that I landed up getting a local lad to tow me home |

that's extended my ownership plan by a year then! so Sept 2011 is when i'll be changing (i think its crazy to hold something that has such potential to go horribly wrong.. where to start... air suspension, dynamic response, dy stability control, adaptive cruise control, adaptive lights, air con, memory seats, variable power steering, anything transmission related, anything interior related, 2 turbochargers, a V8, sat nav, alarm/immobiliser...................) |

i took out a years LR warranty with assist for £879 and the rule of the thumb is, if it breaks they will replace it, if its faulty and can be fixed and not replaced then it will be chargeable, this is obviously only for the items it covers, it does not cover s/ware upgrades, blocked washer jets, faulty bluetooth etc as those are things i have had to pay for! because the warranty didnt cover them!o probably wouldnt bother again Current

Had a proper look at the policy document, IMHO the Landrover warranty is pretty comprehensive, up until the car is 7 ears old. After the car is 7 years old the warranty becomes less attractive, there appears to be a maximum £3000 figure they will cover on any one claim, above that its down to you to make up the shortfall.
